Looking back at Easter Crafts and Table Settings
April 06, 2022I have been photographing and posting my Easter table settings and Easter crafts for perhaps as long as I've had this blog. There is just something about Easter that I love so much. It helps that Easter in our Northern California garden means the wisteria and peonies are either blooming, or on their way. The grass is vibrantly green and the skies are blue and the bunnies are chocolate. Here are some fun posts from Easters past.
Not chocolate bunnies, but still wonderful, these felt bunnies were quick to make with a cuteness factor that is off the charts. I made 4 in under an hour and you can make them too! Easter Bunny Treat Bags.
Aww, this table setting from 2013 is one of my favorites. I love the surprise of orange and think I may make this same table again this year. My table is narrow and I have several low, rectangular vases I use for the centerpieces. To add a bit more fun I added these chocolate chickies. The post is titled PEEP and you can read it here.
 Last year my table had a green and white theme with a fun wooden bead bunnies. The bead bunnies were a tiny fun feature to add to the table. The how-to is included in the post. These would be fun party favors and because they are so tiny, they don't take up too much valuable real estate on my table. Learn how to make the bead bunnies here.
In this post from 2015 I shared 36 FREE spring things to knit. That bobble sheep! I die! Here's another post with links to knitted projects.  I barely remember making this spring bunting, but isn't it cute? Look at those little deer. So sweet! I cut file folders into bunting triangles then punched two holes at the top and threaded string through them. I've looked and looked and cannot find that sweet bunting. I think it was a casualty when the declutter bug hit. Sigh. Here is the original post.  One year I made these cute bunny sachets filled with dried lavender.  It must have been a chilly year when I posted this Easter table below. I only use fruit for the centerpiece when I don't have garden flowers. I think it looks bright and pretty with green apples and limes. The post is here.  I could never write an Easter post without adding a link to my fabulous sugar cookies. I'll be making these today (Wednesday) as we are having a party with an Easter theme on Friday night. I hope to get some good pictures of that party, and at least one recipe, and if I do, it means a new post!  Lastly I'd like to leave you with this special post from 2011. It touches on our family's battle with sobriety and celebrates a hard won victory. In our small family, we have several members who battle with sobriety and I know that the fight is real. Beautiful post, Kristen. I love the embroidered table cloth at the end. My mother would have made one of these!

I love the little American doll patterns you posted. However, when I tried to download the PDF I was confronted with being denied access to Google Drive. I applied but the acess has not been issued. Is there a problem here? I would really like to knit those patterns.
