Hello! I'm popping in for a quick how-to-make-some-easy-crafts post that is family friendly and good for a crowd. When the family arrives for the holidays it's nice to have a few ideas to keep people busy if the weather gets too rainy to go outside. Puzzles are great and Christmas movies and cookie decorating are essential, but I love a good old craft! With a little help, even the youngest amoungest can craft, so let's begin!

Why is it that in the hottest days of summer I start to dream about jingle bells and frosty snowman and all that is wintry and Christmasy? If you are a knitter and crafter then I imagine your Christmas craft timer has sounded off its alarm too, so please come on in and see the absolutely adorable things I've got planned to make for the holidays. I'll divide them into three groups: the Already Made Department (as in finished in July), the Almost Finished Category (will finish this month), and those projects on my Wishful Thinking List.

I made such a fun project this week. I transformed corks into toadstools and revamped an ugly Target plastic tree stump into a wintry cake stand. I'll use this little tableau on the buffet during fall and winter to hold an appetizer or cookie plate. The tree log is still at my Target in the dollar section, and while you might first overlook it, take a second look! I'm so happy with the way it turned out. And the toadstools are nothing more than champagne and tequila corks. Let's get crafty!
