Just 10 minutes exactly from my home, is a fabulous store.
Part garden center, part home boutique.
Ladera Gift and Garden Center is in the quiet enclave of Portola Valley,
set in the foothills of the coastal range just south of San Francisco.
Residents love their beautiful store where shoppers know each other by name.
Very friendly little spot.
Garden displays are lovely.
I want each and everyone of these.
Lacey ferns.
Redbud maybe?
Step inside and their displays are even prettier.
A wall of orchids!
Freeze dried boxwood displayed in a vintage toy truck.
And excellent selection of Arte Italica.
Itty bitty glass bottles that sell by the scoopful!
It's hard to tell between the faux and the real.
Pineapple jugs.
And a pineapple plant.
Fresh tulips and runuculus.
I loved the fresh protea.
I did come home with a few things.
Freeze dried boxwood topiaries for the mantel.
Have you seen these? The boxwood is real, but preserved
and so there is no care. I love the look.
Fresh green protea for St. Patty's Day. They said it would last several weeks.
Massive and comical faux succulent on a stem.
I hope you enjoy shopping with me.
This is part of the shopping marathon day
that my gf Dawn and I had on Friday when we went to 5 stores
starting at the Theatre of Dreams in Port Costa,
then to Lacis in Berkeley before we headed nearer to home.
In the next few days I'll share the other stores.
Oh, and I am knitting too!
Hope to share some of that soon.
