flopsy bunny sachets

I wanted to post this good and early so when you get in a crafty Easter mood you have a quick and easy project handy.  In a little more than an hour you can make a handful of these cute bunny sachets.  A few scraps of fabric, matching ribbon and dried lavender is all you need!  I like the nontraditional Easter colors of orange and gray, who says Easter colors have to be pastel?  Not only a great idea for the Easter basket, the would also make nice party favors and hostess gifts.  A basket of these look pretty and make the room fragrant too!

We bought the lavender the last time we were driving home from southern California.  You can find Clairmont Lavender Farms while driving through the back roads of Santa Inez Valley, just north of the Danish village of Solvang in Santa Barbara County.  It's a beautifully breathtaking valley with wineries, horse ranches, olive orchards and small farms.  If you find yourself near the area don't miss driving through the back roads of this hidden gem of a valley.  We manage it once a year and it's always a treat. To get to Clairmont Farms you drive down a long oak lined road past acres and acres of fragrant lavender.  Heaven!   Clairmont Farms also sells online.  You can find the bunny sachet pattern and tutorial here from Craft Passion.  Have fun!

    1. Hi Andrea,

I'm thinking mid spring to mid summer. My lavender is mostly finished by the end of summer, but alll varieties are different. I think it would be best to contact the farm and see when they recommend a visit. Let me know about your visit. Take a map and stop at the tiny towns, have lunch, visit a winery. It's really so charming!
