meet the mushroom ladies
August 06, 2024- GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
- high quality felt in red and white or off white. I prefer Benzie felt.
- 2.5" wood peg dolls
- craft paint in white and green, plus black and red for the face
- a brown felt tip pen or marker
- small white craft pearls or white seed beads
- polyfil stuffing
- print out this free template from Benzie
- optional tiny o rings for hanging as an ornament
- scissors, glue, needle, sewing thread, paintbrush, toothpick
Paint the doll body with white and when dry, paint green blades of grass on the bottom half. Using this template from Benzie, cut red caps and white round gils out of high quality felt. With tiny whip stitches, hand stitch the four dart seams on the cap. I did not use the frilled ring from the template, but made my own much smaller one. To make frilled ring collar: with white felt, cut out a 1.25" circle with pinking shears. Cut in half. Cut the inner part out of the half circle and use the curved pinked edge as your frilled ring collar. |

These are very cute Kristen. A little too fiddly for me but if I saw these for sale I would buy them!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am curious though, I'm not going to sell these, but what price do you think these would sell for at a Christmas boutique or craft fair?
DeleteThese are the most adorable of all of the adorable peg dolls!
