a flower rest
June 02, 2013The garden is taking a break from flowers for the most part this week. Roses are finished with their first bloom and the others, the dahlias, hydrangeas, zinnias and daisies are gearing up for their performance. Fresh oj every morning, of course we both love oj season. Gorgeous baby tomatoes, pears and apples growing away. We picked our first cucumber and first carrot. Herbs are going crazy. Bee activity high! We are watering, man it was hot today. The weeding never ends...typical!
Today we are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary!

Your garden makes me think sweetly of my grandmama. She had an amazing garden with flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees...and strawberries, always beautiful strawberries. THanks for sharing this with us. Cherry Kay
