Tea Leaves in Kid Classic
November 04, 2012This is my mother's leopard belt circa 1960. Love it! |
I wore this to church this morning. I'm known as the lady who knits and I did get quite a lot of compliments. I think Rowan Kid Classic is perfect for Tea Leaves, the lux yarn adds elegance to the pattern and makes it so cozy warm. I love KC, it is a beautiful mix of lambswool and kid mohair, with good yardage and good hand. It's also hard wearing, but I do hand wash it.
This is a popular pattern with so many knitters, I've made 4, two for my granddaughter and now 2 for me. I cannot wait to make a teensy one for a baby. I wrote on Ravelry about my slight modifications. If you haven't made this sweater yet, you probably should, I know you'll love knitting it and wearing it!
Hope all is well with you!

Very pretty Kristen! I love the stitch detail on the yoke. Your whole outfit is really cute, and the belt pulls it all together.
ReplyDeleteIt must be very gratifying to knit a garment, and get so much wear (and compliments) from it!
Someday I will learn to knit!
Another nice knit. It is so good to hear that other knitters have multiple projects going!
ReplyDeleteI never believe a knitter when she says she only has one WIP going at a time!
DeleteVery, very lovely! I really like your whole outfit!
ReplyDeleteIt is stunning! I am known in several places (school where I subbed, church) as the lady who knits. I kind of like it.
ReplyDeleteExactly, being known as the lady who knits is better than many other things I could think of!
DeleteAnother beautiful sweater Kristen and I love that you still wear my leopard belt. I had a beautiful black knit dress and I wore that belt, a leopard hat and purse and boy did I feel smart..........
ReplyDeleteI remember that ensemble and yes, you did look smart and beautiful! I really wish we still had the hat and purse, don't you? I wonder where they went??
DeleteYou make my day when you make a comment!
