twin hats and shackets

December 29, 2022

Look at these adorable people! Many of you might remember my granddaughter Annie when she was a little girl with her American Girl doll and their matching knitted hats and sweaters. Now she is twinning with her boyfriend! They are seniors in college and at this age I can be hit or miss with gifts, but this time I hit the jackpot and they both love their presents. Phew!

The shackets are $20 from Costco and also available at Amazon. I gifted one to everyone in the family and we all love them. Annie is wearing a men's medium and Grant is wearing an XL. They are fleece lined and have side pockets. I also made them matching hats and they love them so much that they are wearing their matching duds today while they explore our little downtown.

The hat pattern is Tincture from Andrea Mowry. It comes in one size but I modified Grant's hat to make it a little larger to fit a man sized noggin. I used Rowan Alpaca Soft DK and it was so lovely and soft it feels like cashmere. My Ravelry page is here with all the details.

Good bye friends and I'll see you in 2023.
Have a safe and happy NYE!
