Christmas table

December 11, 2011

My table looked so pretty set up for a lunch that I wanted to share it with you.
A Christmas fantasy with a little snowy village installed down the middle.
Tablecloth was cross stitched by me 20 years ago from a Bucilla kit.

Spode Christmas Tree plates were collected by mother for years.
Painted wooden ornaments are from Wendt and Kuhn.
Santa and his reindeer on each side of the cloth.
Napkin rings are also Wendt and Kuhn.  She is eating her porridge!  So very cute, mwahh!
Tablecloth goes in and out of the washer and dryer like a champ.
Little cardboard houses are vintage with original prices on the bottom, from .50 to .75!
Iced tea glasses are mother's Candlewick.

xoxoxoxo I love this so much.  "To All A Good Night" tablecloth kit from Bucilla.
Each corner has a tree with teddy and gifts.
The tablecloth kit included the DMC floss for the cross-stitch.
This tablecloth kit seems no longer available, it's been over 20 years after all, but it's the cutest one I've ever seen.  I did look around the web and thought this one was lovely.  This one is adorable too but looks like a tremendous amount of work, in embroidery instead of cross stitch.

I'm busy with all sorts of knitting projects as usual.  Today I am going to make some owl pillows for my granddaughter for Christmas and also I'm finishing up some St. Lucia dolls which I will post.  I've also got two more posts going, one about some Christmas jewelry and another about a gingerbread house decorating party I had last week.  Stay tuned!  I really enjoy sharing my crafty endeavors with you.  Thank you for visiting.

12/20 Edited to add:  I found this same tablecloth kit on Ebay for $27.  I think you should buy it!

  5. What a gorgeous table! I am especially inspired by your table cloth. I started a cross stitch tree skirt years ago, but lost steam with the copious backstitching. Now I want to pull it out of storage and finish!
