knitting today
July 01, 2011What a good day.
I spent a lot of time in the garden this morning, just making sure I don't fall behind on the chores.
Came in and planned dinner and cleaned up a good bit. Made a few patriotic posies to scatter around.
And now the whole day lies before me with nothing but knitting in mind. Twenty years ago on a day like today we would be making popsicles or heading down to the pool.
But today it's choosing between these two lovely projects. Favorite Cardigan using Cascade Sierra, a lovely worsted weight with 80% cotton and 20% wool.
Or the lacy Emma Shrug using Sparrow, an organic fingering weight linen.
And to make my day even better, I have The Paris Wife to listen to on my iPad.
My son is taking pictures of me today with a new cardigan and a new shawl. A new post tomorrow!
