Linen Coasters, free pattern

May 28, 2025

The beloved eyelet edged washcloth, praised for its simple beauty, has been resized for your wine glass. One skien of Flax & Twine 100% linen yarn will make 6 or 7 coasters, plus subtle stitch changes have been made to accommodate for the lack of elasticity when knitting with linen. The texture of nubbly garter stitch combined with the elegance of linen yarn is divine. I loved knitting these and hope you will too.

The pattern is free on Ravelry and the directions print out on one easy-to-read page. If you cannot access Rav, let me know and I'll email the pattern to you. My email address is on the sidebar.

Hello friends! I'll be back soon with gardening, recipes, and always, more knitting.

I hope you enjoyed my post and found it helpful and will consider becoming a subscriber to the Knitionary blog. If yes, please click here. I won't sell your email so no need to worry about that sort of thing. I honestly wouldn't know how to do that if I did. I try to send out one post a week, usually about knitting but also about my other loves--gardening, crafts and entertaining. Sometimes I use affiliate links in my posts to help offset the costs of running a blog. If you click on an affiliate link and purchase an item, I may earn a little money. If you purchase the item using my affiliate link or not, the price will be the same. Purchasing from my affiliate links adds no cost to you but could put a little money in my pocket.
