Cormel

I'm so happy to finally share this sweater with you. It was a test for a Brooklyn Tweed project that I finished a year ago but somehow took all this time to get into production. I'm so very glad it's now available as it was so fun to knit. It was my first time using Loft by BT and I fell hard in love. It's a well-behaved and springy yarn to knit, and for me is soft enough to wear next to the skin. The pattern is very intuitive and you'll soon find a knitting rhythm that is interesting and easy fall in love with. It's truly one to love. The pattern is recommended for adventurous intermediate knitters. My project page has more details such as yardage usage, body shaping, etc.

The pattern is Cormel by Lyudmila Aksenik, a lovely Russian knitwear designer. It is knit top down with a colorwork section that uses one color at a time. The designer page features the sweater knit in Truffle Hunt and Woodsmoke and is gorgeous. The pattern also includes a turtleneck version. The pattern will be available on March 16.

This pattern is part of a Brooklyn Tweed Homeware Collection. There are several sweaters that I'd love to make in this collection including Burchett and Bressen. The patterns are available for purchase on March 16.

Loft is 100% Targhee-Columbia wool from Wyoming, scoured in Texas, dyed in Pennsylvania and milled in New Hampshire; an American made yarn from start to finish. This is a fingering weight yarn that works best for me as a DK weight yarn. It's lovely.

    1. Thank you! I rarely wear yellow, but maybe I should reconsider that!
