Peg Angels

December 11, 2013

December is going by so fast, cannot believe it is the second week already!  Whoosh, where did it go?  I have so much to share, but I left little time to photograph or even write.  But a week ago, inspired by Margaret Bloom's book Making Peg Dolls, I huddled in my sewing room one day and created these angel folk.

So here they are, a dear little family of peg doll angels,  all fancy with tulle, vintage Christmas sheet music for wings, and eyelash ribbon for their faux fur.  Shopping links are at the end.

The eyelash ribbon looks like a fur collar.

I used a few gold foil Dresden crowns leftover from a long ago project.

The angel wings were cut from vintage Christmas sheet music.

For hangers I used 15/32" brass screw eyes.

Ten years ago I made dozens of Santas from batting.  Most were gifts but I've held on to a few.

The smallest in a 2" angel peg, the larger is 3 1/2".

We have a winner from last week's giveaway.
Congratulations to Estella from Just One More Row.
Estella won the angel ornament from Margaret Bloom!
