The Best of Ravelry--V 3

February 20, 2026

Hello, knitters! 🧶

So much to knit, so little time, but who cares? We'll just dream! Join me as I scamper through Ravelry, queuing the newest designs with abandon, dreaming of all the sweaters I might get to… someday.

Rosie Yoke Blouse by le knit.
This is the third variation of her wildly popular Rosie sweater — and apparently the one I’ve been waiting for, because it’s finally the easiest of the bunch. Knit top-down in one piece (bless), it’s a more traditional construction but still has the romantic rose yoke. I bought the pattern immediately and it's in the queue.

Check out the rest--links included.

The adorable puppy dog version of the kitty colorwork Fiona. I bought this and ordered some Rowan Summerlite K from my LYS for a summer sweater. I fully intend to get it on my needles ASAP. Stay tuned.

Virginia Cardigan by Aegyoknit
This amazing mosaic work cardigan is a remake of a classic Marianne Isager. I wish I could talk myself into making this.

Rocketeer by Maxim Cry
Stripes and angular shapes framed with an i-cord create an eye catching scarf.

Huxley by Maxim Cyr
Houndstooth colorwork knit in the round.

Facet Sweater by leKnit
If you dislike long floats but want a jaunty colorwork sweater, this is your gal.

The Bao Bao Shawl by Isabell Kraemer
This would be cute in so many ways: scrappy, two colors, variegated, tonal or solids.
It uses the easy peasy dip stitch that is so popular right now.

Bao Bao Hat by Isabell Kraemer
More of that dip stitch to love.

Heimafathan by Isabell Kraemer
This sweater got me to fall in love with the simple but effective dip stitch.

Winter Pyramid Cloud by Minimi Knit
Beautiful construction. Reversible front to back.

Port Cardigan by Ozetta
Sophisticated yet casual.

Sweater No. 32 by My Favorite Things
The wide raglan increases and wide sleeves give the classic striped pulloever a more updated look. Wouldn't this be fun all scrappy?

Matcha Jumper by vert knit
I chose this for it's interesting top-down contiguous saddle shoulder sleeve construction. Quite a mouthful to say but I'll bet it would be interesting to knit!

Carrie Sweater by Johanna Gehrisch
This can be worn front to back and also made less fitted. I would have so made this a few decades ago. Darling for a young person.

Sitzmark by Caitlin Hunter
Old timey ski sweater with a retro fit. I bought this one too but I’ll make it longer and roomier.

Caia by Leknit
Cardigans are so the thing right now and this textured one is a beaut.

Lakes Cardigan by Ozetta
A big and bulky cardigan with saddle shoulders, meant to be oversized and cozy with a good V: not too deep and not too short, but just right.

Traveler's Cardigan by Ozetta
Another oversized cardigan from the same designer—this time featuring a crew neck, dramatic drop sleeves, balloon cuffs, and a button band that’s knitted right in as you go. My sweater wardrobe needs one of these oversized cardigans. Yours too?

Vagan Cardigan by Ellen Furderer--free pattern!
If I do decide to knit two summer sweaters this year, this will be the one I knit after the puppy dog colorwork one above. Cardigans are so popular right now and the lines on this are perfect. I also love the buttonholes built into the i-cord. It would be so pretty in Summerlite DK. It's also free!

Makri Bag by Ellen Furderer--free pattern!
Also free from the same designer, I thought popcorn stripes would be fun to wear this summer.

Beginner Dishcloths by Katie Brohard--free pattern!

This one I could not resist. We’ve all had that friend (or child or grandchild, if you’re lucky) who wants to learn to knit. What better way to teach them than with these four dishcloths? Start with the first—simple garter stitch—to build confidence. By the third and fourth, they’re ready to proudly call themselves knitters! Thank you Katie--such a great idea.
