Cozzy Shawl

May 04, 2020

Combining Brooklyn Tweed's Shelter yarn with a rhythmic mosaic and garter stitch pattern was pure knitting bliss. When knitting hits the sweet spot then it's perfection and this was perfection. The right pattern, the right wool. Shelter wet blocked out to become very soft, much softer than I expected. It's a wonderful 100% American made wool yarn and is still on sale through mid May. I bought a wee stash and can't wait to use it again.

The pattern called for a natural and black/white marl which made the colorwork pattern look like the static on the old TVs of my youth. We don't see static anymore, but wasn't it so annoying? 😒 The shawl was very fun to knit and the pattern is well-written. I love it!

It doesn't often work and it's a wee bit wonky when it does,
but I appreciate it when you try!
