21 color slouch

January 04, 2019

Hello 2019! I'm happy you're here! I think you and I are going to get along just fine!

2019 starts off with knitting; no surprise there! I made the 21 Color Slouch from Virginia Sattler-Reimer for my granddaughter for Christmas. She LOVED it! I snapped these pictures while we were shopping at the Pendleton store downtown. She and the hat looked so lovely against their gorgeous wool blankets. The hat is super fun to make and the Woolstok wool by Blue Sky Fibers is just perfect. I thought it felt slightly scratchy in the skein, but it is very soft when knitted up, in fact, soft enough to wear against your skin. She wore the hat for an entire day of shopping and never once said it felt scratchy. I would definitely use this yarn again. The kit is adorably packaged and includes all the introductory colors of Woolstok, a 100% wool, worsted-weight yarn. I've seen the kit at knitting shows several times, but by the time I went to get one, they sold out. This happened to me several times, so when I saw the kit at Pearl Knitting in Portland, I snapped it up. I did not change one thing in the pattern or color sequence and hope to find an opportunity to knit this again. PS: I had enough yarn leftover to make a requested pompom.

I found the kits in stock at
