Damson Shawl
April 06, 2011I love my Damson Shawl by Isolde Teague. Very easy and intuitive pattern that you can memorize pretty quickly.
I used one skein of Tosh Sock (so lovely!) in Caligraphy and ran out of it just at the end. I used a smidge of Malabrigo Sock in Playa left over from my Celery Cardigan to finish it off.
I love the way it turned out, the little eyelet lace border is so pretty. It's a great travel project and I have my eye out for a skein of Malabrigo Sock in a bright color so I can make it again. I think Ysolde Teague is a knitting genius and her instructions make her projects a joy to knit.
On my way out the door to play nine holes of golf. I am way better at knitting than I am a golfing. Way, wayyyy better.

I have been looking at that shawl. But ended up choosing the "Aestlight Shawl". I have some handdyed lilac to use for my daughter's Weddding in November.
ReplyDeleteNice job on your shawl!
It's so lovely! I keep thinking I would like to knit a shawl with a contrasting trim like that.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy both tennis and golf ~ enjoy your time on the links!
