pretty

January 09, 2020

Hello! I hope your new year is off to a good start. At the moment my little world is filled with pretty winter flowers, audiobooks and knitting. I'm at such a weird place in my knitting at the moment! I am ALL caught up with my works-in-progress, and I mean entirely caught up except for one project that I'm working on exclusively. This shiny new feeling of fidelity has got me feeling quite righteous, like I'm being a good knitter, but I'm afraid my being faithful to one project is not going to last much longer. I am waiting for a test pattern to become available from Truly Myrtle and when it does I'm going to cast on right away, plus I've got itchy fingers to cast on with some new wool I received for Christmas (the gold Biches and Buches above) and I also need to pick a good travel project. If I'm to be honest I'll tell you that not all my projects were actually finished. Some were frogged, which I think takes an immense amount of bravery; but a new year and a new decade called for courage on the home front. The w-i-ps off my needles include a new Flax Light made from mini-skeins, an un-pictured sweater for me, and the mosaic stitch Mountain Cowl from Andrea Mowry. Modeled pictures of all soon.  Don't forget you can still get 20% off The Alaskan Pullover pattern from Ainur Berkimbayeva (below) by using the code knitionary.

  1. You featured a photo of a stripped sweater which looks like it is knit using two different variegated yarns. I would love to know more about that sweater! Ruth
