A Year of Tablescapes

Since table settings have been a favorite feature on my blog, I thought I'd do a recap and share the most popular ones from 2012. Click on links for the story and more pictures. Enjoy!
Thank you so much for stopping by! In 2013 I plan on making more party posts, so I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy sharing them. And as a foot note, some of my knitter readers who do not normally follow tablescape blogs, (and YES, there are numerous tablescape blogs and these blogs are very popular!) I never set a table just for show, ALL of my tables are meant for a dinner party I'm having. I almost always try to share my menu with pictures of the food plus recipes and links when I can. Just wanted to say that!
The year started with A Neighborly Dinner Party in winter brights
using Arte Italica's Portofino and Lalique crystal.

In March we had a St. Patrick's Day theme with green and white and candlelight.
In April, the post, My Romantic Table received the most hits of all my table settings. It's beautiful.
A fresh green and white Easter Table Setting was also very popular with readers.
Another spring dinner party, this time in pinks showcasing some gorgeous peonies as the centerpiece.
In May I gave an adorable Baby Shower with lots of pictures and good ideas.
May was very busy with luncheons. First I had a Book Club Luncheon.
The next luncheon was Very Rosy with pink roses as the centerpiece and on the Limoges plates.
The last of the spring luncheons was a Fellowship Luncheon
gorgeous with pale yellow roses in vintage aqua glass.
In July, in our Summer Dinner Party post, I share ideas on how to entertain beautifully, but simply.
Also in July, in Let's Party, we host my knitting group and their husbands in a lovely outdoor setting.
In September, red was the theme when we host a Casual Dinner Party and serve BLTs, fun!
Also in September, I decided to take you to some parties WE were invited too!

Helga and Doug host the gourmet group for a Late Summer Dinner with sunflowers and candlelight.
Rene and Brian host a beautiful Winemakers Dinner and readers loved the setting.
At the end of September we host a Fall Dinner For Six starting with a tasty pate.
Do you remember Patty and Jack's beautiful Dinner Party?
We are at Rene and Brian's again for a Harvest Brunch, a very popular post.
We get Octoberfestive at Karen and Steve's house for bocci ball and sausages and an elegant table.
We go to San Francisco for a soup party in Party With A View, and what a view it is!
Norma and Geoff pull off a beautifully orchestrated and bright Sit Down Dinner For 18.
In December, we oogled over Dinner Party Sparkle with Patty and Jack.
And lastly, we tightened our belts and ate sensibly at our Post Christmas Dinner Party.

Hello, Kristen! I didn't "meet" you until late in 2012, so many of these I am seeing for the first time. It's hard to choose a favorite, but "Very Rosy" and the spring dinner party with the peonies are right up there as front runners! I guess I'm just a pink lover! You have put on some doozies!!! (And your talented friends have, too!) Enjoy your weekend, and keep on 'scapin'! :-)

ReplyDeleteI have seen some but not all of your tables and so enjoy them. There's lots to look at here for sure with so many beautiful features. Do you think as I do that setting the table is the best part of entertaining?
