I love making these little dolls. I've made them twice before, Flower Fairies for my granddaughter and last year for two bridal showers I was having, also a tutorial in that post. These I made for myself in red that will look pretty in my living room at Christmas time.
We (I) had such a fun day today. My dear and very sweet husband drove me to Knitterly in Petaluma. It's a pretty drive north over the Golden Gate Bridge, (love driving over this bridge and always think it's a treat), but it's close to a 3 hour round trip. He is a saint. He then bought me 3 sweaters worth of yarn for Christmas. Saint.
Petaluma is a quaint old fashioned town once famous for being the Egg Basket of the World. It's in Sonoma County so there are vineyards all around, plus the beautiful Sonoma coast is not far. It's a fun day trip with lots of shops and good restaurants, restored Victorian buildings and friendly people. And there's also that knit store!
