Olmsted

April 01, 2013

Oh, to be this photogenic.
And then there's the sweater.  Olmsted.
Granddaughter loves it and she looks so very cute in it.
I can tell she's really happy with it because she hasn't taken it off since she put it on.
Beautiful neckline with a big mother of pearl button.
Knit in the round, bottom up.
Feather and Fan stitch is a simple beginner lace pattern.

I had issues with the pattern, you can read about that here.
The yarn is lovely, soft and easy to knit.  A cotton/nylon blend called
Cotton Rich DK by Cascade Yarns, machine washable and dryable.
Color Fuschia, #6185.

Thanks for stopping by.  Come by again soon for another FO this week and a giveaway!

    1. I am so flattered. I do absolutely ask her to pick out her own yarn, we go yarn shopping when I visit, and also I show her patterns online and she will pick out one. It's important I get it right now that she is a pre-teen!

  5. Kristen, your Grand-daughter is beautiful and so is Olmsted. I can relate to the yarn and pattern shopping with your Grand-daughter - I do the same and it is so much fun! They are such a joy to spend time with and knit for too.

  6. That is a great look on her! Slender frames wear this well, I think. The color is so pretty, and the construction of the sweater is gorgeous!!! I love that one big button!
